Welcome to SubTrack: Subscription Tracker ("SubTrack", "we", "us", or "our"). We built SubTrack to help you take control of your recurring expenses — privately, securely, and without needing to share your financial credentials with anyone.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using SubTrack, you agree to the practices described here.
SubTrack never asks for your bank account, credit card number, or payment credentials. Your financial security is our top priority.
What Data We Gather
SubTrack is designed with a privacy-first philosophy. We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the app's features.

We never collect your actual payment credentials, bank account information, or credit/debit card details — ever.
Purpose of Data Use
We use the information collected solely to:
Operate the app — deliver your subscription dashboard, renewal reminders, analytics, and budget tracking features.
Send notifications — renewal alerts, free trial expiry warnings, and budget limit warnings that you configure within the app.
Improve the product — anonymous, aggregated analytics help us understand which features are most useful.
Provide support — if you contact us, we use your message and email to respond.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers. SubTrack products are ad-free.
Where Your Data Lives
Local storage (default): All your subscription data is stored locally on your device using an embedded database. It never leaves your phone unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
Cloud sync (optional): If you create an account and enable cloud backup, your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using AES-256 encryption on our secure servers. You can delete your cloud data at any time from Settings → Data → Delete Account.
Biometric data: If you enable biometric lock (fingerprint / Face ID), that authentication data is handled entirely by your device's secure enclave. SubTrack never has access to it.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard TLS 1.3 for all communications with our servers.
Services We Rely On
SubTrack uses a small set of trusted third-party services to power certain features. Each has its own privacy policy.
Firebase Authentication (Google) — Used for account creation and login if you choose to register. Only your email and a hashed identifier are shared. View policy →
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — Collects anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. No personal subscription data is included in crash reports.
Google Play Services — Standard Android platform services for push notifications and in-app updates.
None of our third-party partners receive your subscription names, costs, or billing details.
You're Always in Control
You have full control over your data at all times:
Export — Export all your subscription data as a PDF or CSV from Settings → Data → Export.
Delete locally — Clear all local data from Settings → Data → Clear All Data.
Delete account & cloud data — Permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data from Settings → Data → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.
Notifications — Enable or disable all notifications at any time from Settings → Notifications or your device's system settings.
Analytics opt-out — You can disable anonymous analytics from Settings → Privacy.
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also have rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Not for Children Under 13
SubTrack: Subscription Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons.
When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Your continued use of SubTrack after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
